Heaven is For Real by Todd Burpo

Let me start of by saying I don't read a lot of nonFiction books, however, this one blew my socks off! This book is about a little boy who was three when this whole ordeal happened.  The story goes on to tell about how he had gotten really sick. His dad is a minister as well as has other side jobs. A couple of months after the ordeal he brings up about how he went to heaven. They match identically to what was happen with his family, family history and the Bible! This book quotes many Bible verses with what Colton saw in Heaven.
Like I said, this book will blow you away. I believe it 100%. I think that it is a fast, easy ready but very intriguing at the same time. There were some Bible verses I didn't know in there but the way Todd wrote the story, it makes it seem SO real. Also there are pictures in the middle of the book. Throughout the book they keep on asking him what Jesus looked like. I am glued to this picture in the book. I put it down, but you can't resist but to keep looking at the Prince of Peace picture.  I will recommend this book to everyone I know.  A+ to the Burpo family.
I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze.com  book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255

The Nativity Collection Book Review

The Nativity Collection is a book put together about six short stories. Each story tells about the Nativity and plays a key role in each of the stories.  As the book states, for it is the Nativity that inspires so many other Christmas stories.
I thought that this book was a very interesting, easy, short read. Each story is fairly short about a 10 minute read, with a Christmas picture on about every other page. I would compare these short stories to stories that someone would share to you verbally.  They are good stories, just not what I expected. They left me smiling but not quite as moving as I had hoped.  Booksneeze provided me with a complimentary copy of this book. Overall, I would recommend this book to others.

I'm starting a blog

I figured I'd try my hand at blogging. Not sure how it will go with a busy house, but worth a shot.
